Well, here we are days away from Father’s Day. In America there are 64.3 million fathers across the nation; 26.5 million is the number of fathers who are part of married-couple families with their own children under the age of 18. You can see that many of our dad’s are displaced from their homes and many are disconnected to their children. It is a national blight that will have severe consequences in our future. We can do our part by being examples, to our children and their friends, of what a Godly father looks like. He’s not always the coolest, he’s not always his kids best friend, but he is always training his children in the Way, he talks to them about God when he take walks with them and when they go to bed and when they rise. His talk include talk of how much he loves his them and how much God loves them too.
The rat ran away and the duck floated down a storm drain and is currently residing in Tijuana. Not a great track record. My problem was I loved this kid so much and wanted to have a great relationship with him, but I had no tools, no training, no good examples of what a good dad was…as I said totally clueless. ALL of my friend’s dads were like mine alcoholic, a very unstable environment for children and other living creatures. I had only been a Christian for four years, but somehow I knew that no matter what my childhood examples were, no matter what the world said or what the so called experts said statistically what would happen to this child, God’s power was greater! Seriously folks, I was in trouble here….without God…can you see my dilemma, can you feel my terror, and can you understand what was going on here? I needed God’s help, not Dr. Spock…seriously I thought he was Captain Kirk’s right hand pointed eared friend…like I said clueless….I needed to know how to be a good father, a good example, and I found all of that in God’s Word and by His Spirit! Sure, I made little mistakes along the way, God always filled in the gaps for me…one thing I know for sure is that this little guy knows God, knows his daddy loves him with an undying love and kno Happy Dad’s Day guys, God is our source,

appy June everybody! Sounds weird to think almost half of 2010 is in the books. It’s been a crazy year so far; Lots of fun change and so many really great opportunities to see God move in our church and our lives. The Spirit of God moved in such a phenomenal way Sunday I am hungry for so much more! Come expecting God to move every week, and don’t be surprised when He does!
If you want to know what a clueless dad looks like here he is! That’s little Bobby in my arms there, not too sure I am supporting his head right….that explains so much….anyway if you look closely you will see the absolute terror behind the smile. I am 20 years old! Up to this point in my life I had primary responsibility for a white rat named Jerry Garcia and a white duck named Ringo Star. 
ws that I can still take him any day any time….for now….bring it Bobby! God is incredible he is always teaching us if we would just submit to his will. He helped me so much, he taught me what it was like to raise Godly kids and although Bobby’s not perfect, ask Jaleah, he is a Godly man with love in his heart. I am so proud of him! God keeps on teaching us and I finally got it all together and produced the perfect child Heather…as you ALL know!
